Marc Black, a staple of the Woodstock music community since the 1970s, performed recently at a Woodstock Chamber of Commerce party celebrating the launch of its new Web site.
A packed house at Oriole 9, a popular eatery in the center of Woodstock, enjoyed the eclectic, always-engaging Black for a couple of hours Saturday evening, May 16.
Black has recorded with Jack DeJohnette, Rick Danko, Garth Hudson and countless others. His music throws a wide – very wide – net on a number of styles. He is an essential part of Woodstock's extraordinary fraternity of world-class musicians.
