Bethel, NY, site of the original 1969 Woodstock festival, opened a performing arts and music center July 1, 2006. The Bethel Woods Center for the Arts features an enclosed 4,500-seat pavilion and lawn seating for an additional 10,500 people.
The 2009 season kicks off June 14. The following shows are scheduled; however, not all ticket sale dates have been announced:

Sat, August 15: Heroes of Woodstock, with Levon Helm Band, Jefferson Starship, Ten Years After, Canned Heat, Big Brother and the Holding Company, Mountain, Tom Constanten and Country Joe McDonald
Fri, August 21: Loggins & Messina with POCO (with special appearance by Richie Furay)
Sat, August 22: Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra with special guest Arlo Guthrie
Thu, August 27: B.B. King & Buddy Guy
Sat, August 29: Brad Paisley with special guests Dierks Bentley and Jimmy Wayne

Also located on site is the Museum at Bethel Woods, which opened in 2008 and is dedicated to the original 1969 Woodstock Music and Art Fair. In addition to the galleries, theater and classrooms, the museum team is planning an interactive walking tour, to be opened later this year.
