The Grouse House Studio is owned and operated by musician, engineer and producer Gilbert Hetherwick. Hetherwick’s company, Grouse House Productions, is a management and consulting business that offers services aimed mainly toward musicians and technology companies.
The studio features two studio rooms: a medium-sized room suited for small sessions; and one room for intimate sessions, as well as editing and mastering capabilities. Hetherwick's engineering services are available, if needed, and accommodations are located on the property. The Grouse House Penthouse features a private suite, equipped with a king-sized bed, in-room Jacuzzi, breakfast accommodations and more.
Hetherwick is the former president of Sony BMG Masterworks in the classical music division, where he was responsible for overseeing all of Sony BMG's classical music comprising labels such as RCA Red Seal, Sony Classical and Odyssey, among others. Before joining BMG, he ran EMI’s American classical operations and held top-level positions at EMI, Polygram, Telarc and Sony Classical.
