Mountain Jam will take place May 29-31 at Hunter Mountain. The annual three-day event -- now in its fifth year -- is co-produced by Radio Woodstock and Warren Haynes, an original member of the Allman Brothers Band. In 2008, Rolling Stone magazine named Mountain Jam one of the top eight music festivals in the country.
The Allman Brothers band will headline the show, celebrating the 40th Anniversary of the Woodstock Festival. The southern-rock band formed in 1969 in Jacksonville, Florida, by brothers Gregg and Duane Allman. Duane Allman – who passed away in 1971 following a motorcycle accident – was named by Rolling Stone as the second greatest guitar player of all time in 2003.
Although personnel have changed over the years, the band still continues to record and tour with current members Gregg Allman (organ, piano, guitar, vocals), Butch Trucks (drums, tympani), Jai Johanny "Jaimoe" Johanson (drums, percussion), Haynes (guitar, slide guitar, vocals), Marc Quinones (drums, percussion, background vocals), Oteil Burbridge (bass, vocals) and Derek Trucks (guitar, slide guitar).
Other performers scheduled to appear at Mountain Jam include:
Gov't Mule
Richie Havens
The Brew

More bands will be announced soon. Schedule is subject to change, so check back often at www.mountainjam.com.
Three-day festival passes are now on sale: $359.50/VIP (includes VIP parking and campground access), $159.50 (festival pass and campground access) or $134.50 (festival access only, early-bird special). Single-day tickets will be available at a later date.
In addition to providing great music and fun, the Mountain Jam team is making an effort to “go green” for the festival. Changes this year include: Printing tickets and festival guides on recycled paper with soy-based in; supplying vendors with biodegradable cups and plates; using wind-power, solar-driven energy; providing free water to eliminate water bottle usage; and incorporating an extensive recycling program.
